The Longwith Group platform was developed by award-winning attorney Randall T. Longwith to meet the growing demand from clients seeking clarity on regulatory policies, compliant operations, investment structure, product development and marketing in California’s maturing medical marijuana marketplace. He is widely recognized for his role in opening the first locally-licensed dispensary in Orange County, CA and his experience in helping California compliant medical marijuana professionals develop legal operations in local communities throughout the state.

As founder and president of TLG, Longwith spearheads a team of experienced executives as one of the few professionals with a documented track record of success representing the legal, due process and public policy interests of patients, collectives and sector professionals active in medical marijuana dispensaries, medical marijuana cultivations, cannabis products and ancillary professional services. This focus has put him on the frontlines of an emerging cannabis industry, navigating a confusing, complex and shifting landscape at the intersection of local, state and federal laws regarding patient rights and legal access to Medical Marijuana.

To this end, Longwith has focused his practice efforts on working with civic leaders to navigate the complexities of municipal public policy in this sector and/or introducing regulatory public policy initiatives throughout cities in California that will allow voters to guide civic leaders in a process to regulate dignified patient access to Medical Marijuana for the widest possible community benefit – through civic adoption or popular vote.

As a public policy advocate, Longwith is focused on finding common ground for civic, community, non-profit collective and patient concerns. This approach to reasonable public policy is informed by his extensive career defending constitutional rights and due process issues with a firm belief in the balanced scale of justice; for which he has gained National recognition as both an expert commentator on national TV and as a diligent advocate on multiple high profile defense cases. Mr. Longwith is admitted to practice law in both California and Texas and is a charter member of Americans for Safe Access – Orange County as well as belonging to the Orange County Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of Orange County, the Public Defenders Association of California, and the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice.
